During the competition, the Rugby Village is located at Parc François-Mitterrand in Saint-Étienne. Nearly 20,000 m² with free, open access and a capacity of up to 8,000 people!
The Rugby Village is boast:
- a giant screen of nearly 85m² for the broadcast of matches
- a large stage of 160 m² for several shows
- a covered hall of 1,600 m² to shelter in bad weather
- many activities: sports shows, esport tournaments, high ropes, inflatable structures, a synthetic sports ground, …
- a refreshment area (4 stalls) and one catering area (6 food trucks).

Friday september 8
- 5.00 p.m.: opening of the Rugby Village
- 6.30 p.m.: Haka demonstration
- 7.00 p.m.: Trois Cafés Gourmands show – The French band Trois Cafés Gourmands always attracts many fans to their live performances. Their collaboration with Jean-Jacques Goldman for their new album was an event in itself. Their third album entitled La promesse explores new topics while remaining true to their style.
- 9.00 p.m.: broadcast of the match France v New Zealand
- 10.45 p.m. : Etienne de Crécy DJ set – Since the first EP of Motorbass (his band with Philippe Zdar) in 1993, Etienne de Crécy has become one of the most influential figures on the electronic scene and one of its most inspired producers. In twenty yearsoto of an upward journey, he has recorded major albums in the world of electronica: Pansoul (Motorbass), Super Discount 1, 2 & 3, Tempovision.

- 7.00 p.m.: Big Ukulélé Syndicate show – The festive, crazy ukulele tunes of a band of uninhibited musicians. 10 years ago, in the industrial slums of the Grenoble basin, the workshops of the Big Ukulélé Syndicate were born, a production line for crazy music around this little wacky and playful instrument.

- 5.45 p.m.: broadcast of the match Australia v Fiji – This will definitely be worth your while! The Fijians are one of the most spectacular teams, with a twirling, unpredictable and risky game. Rugby, the national sport, is practised there by 80,000 Fijians, i.e. one inhabitant in 11. This is 20 times more than in France! The 13th nation in the world’s rugby ranking, they could bring a few surprises…

- 6.30pm: concerts by young musicians from Saint-Etienne (Maeve, Le Bon’s, Greboo and Robin de Sa)

- 10.45 p.m.: Blaiz Fayah show – Blaiz Fayah is the leader of the European Dancehall/Shatta scene. The hit maker confirms his fame through his presence in the mixes played in clubs by the best DJs of the moment.

- 2.00 p.m.: La Grande Phrase (street theatre) – Inflated with air, latex structures generate shapes, deformations, and dynamics. They thus become the creators of a new link between the dancer, the space, and the public. This game between the air and the body of the “augmented” dancer gives a cosmic value to this extraordinary project.
- 3:00 p.m.: La Tente d’Edgard (street theatre) – With his crazy character Edgar, not really delicate but truly endearing, Stéphane Amos mixes acting and burlesque improvisation through theatrical magic.
- 4:00 p.m.: Johnny, un poème (Street Theater) – A show about Johnny Halliday… which Johnny himself would like!
- 5:15 p.m.: Cyclo Lunaire (street theatre)
- 5.45 p.m.: broadcast of the match Argentina v Samoa – It is one of the four teams, with New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga, to perform before their matches a haka, the traditional dance to galvanise the troops and impress the opponent. But Samoa is not there for folklore! Their country is one of the underdogs of the competition, but their level is far from being anecdotal.
